Traveling from Sydney to the Illawarra, Team Funcion is stepping into the 360 South Project with purpose to test themselves, represent what they stand for, and contribute to something bigger than sport.

At the heart of Nowra’s fitness community, The Yard Gym Nowra (TYGN) is more than just a training space — it’s a movement built for the everyday athlete. Specializing in strength and conditioning, TYGN is grounded in one core belief: real growth happens outside your comfort zone. Whether you’re lifting your first barbell or chasing new performance goals, The Yard creates an environment where resilience, confidence and capability are built from the ground up.

Proudly owned and operated by two local mum’s raising young families, The Yard Gym Nowra is a reflection of community, grit and balance. Juggling business ownership and motherhood, they’ve built a space that champions both physical strength and strong local connections.

The Yard Gym’s involvement in the 360 South Project is a natural extension of those values.Supporting this initiative was an easy decision — it’s an incredible movement helping raise awareness for the Illawarra Community Foundation and

strengthening the broader Illawarra community. For TYGN, it’s about more than training hard; it’s about showing up, giving back, and growing stronger together.

The founders were members of our community, inspired by the culture of support, teamwork and friendship that exists inside The Yard every day. When they shared their vision of running 360km to raise funds for families supported by the Illawarra Convoy Foundation, we knew we wanted to be involved.
