I98 Illawarra Convoy Funds Tumour Removal Device

Last week, we joined the team from Wollongong Hospital Operating Theatres to celebrate the arrival of a $415K Tumour Removal Device funded by @i98FM Illawarra Convoy.

It was heartwarming to hear the surgeons and nurses tell us just how this device will help patients with complex brain and liver tumours. Providing the latest technology and access to care closer to home and their loved ones.

This latest technology enables faster and more accurate tumour removal, which for the patient, means:

 Less time under a general anesthetic

 Better post-operative outcomes and faster recovery time

 No travel to Sydney, patient can recover locally surrounded by family & friends
